Christmas Program & Concert

Yesterday was a busy day & for the 2 events I attended I'm grouping them & putting them into one post.  I could be doing 100 other things right now so this needs to be done quickly!

Matthew started our day off with a Christmas Program at preschool

It was a Charlie Brown theme, so cute!

Here he is singing & doing sign language in his Charlie Brown jacket

A special visitor came.  Some were so excited & some were in tears.  Matthew was excited!

His present (a book), a teddy bear & a candy cane from Santa.

This is Matthew & his friend Hayden.  These two are great friends & play so well together.

Then during school time Savannah had a book exchange & Christmas party.  Complete with the veggie tray she wanted to take.  She was so excited to wrap up a book & exchange it.  Simple pleasures!

Then after an early dinner Savannah had her Christmas choir concert.  The program included 15 songs & half of those were little groups.  The choir teacher said if they wanted to perform with friends to get some friends together, figure out what your singing & perform for her then she would okay them for the performance. She is a wonderful music teacher & really let them take a lot of responsibility & it payed off.  The kids who really want to be there are & it was fantastic to hear so many energetic happy voices.  Savannah performed in 3 or 4 small groups.

Jillian & Savannah before the performance

The lights were all turned off & they had flashlights while singing Carol of the Bells.  As a side note... that girls hair was really pink that's not a lighting issue or a wig.  Classy, eh?

She's all smiles but her friends look a little nervous

Some of the songs performed last night were Jingle Bell Rock, Here Comes Santa Claus, O Christmas Tree, Silent Night, Let it Snow & Deck the Halls.

Haley is having her Christmas party today & her Secret Santa exchange.  She was so excited for today that she woke up extra early this morning.  I'm excited to see her gift & hear all about her exciting day.  You gotta love this holiday season!

Too fun, love it all! What a great theme for the preschool program! Love that Savannah's music teacher gave them some musical freedom!
