My mom called and said she was sending stuff to my brother and wondered if the kids wanted to make Uncle Jordan some Valentine's. As I've said before my brother is on a mission in Chile. This sounded like a fun idea so when the girls got home from school yesterday we pulled out the art supplies and made some Valentine's. They all did a fabulous job!

I want to be Savannah's friend
This post involves no pics. I know I can hear the gasps! I never post without pics, so much for never. So Matthew and Savannah can play really well together (when they're not fighting...... ha, ha) but seriously they do really well together. So on Thursday and Friday Haley and Savannah had early release which meant Matthew and Savannah got more time to play. They had a great time on Thursday and were doing great on Friday when Savannah had an unexpected friend stop by to visit. Matthew still wanted to be in the mix of things so he followed the girls around for a little while then they asked if they could play alone. I have to say that when friends come to our house I don't spend my whole time keeping siblings from joining in the fun. Sorry but you have brothers and sisters besides that would be extremely tiring to do. Having said that I do allow a little bit of time where they can play by themselves without interruptions, sometimes. Now I'm just rambling.....ok so Matthew didn't like the idea of leaving them alone and decided to push Brooklyn (Savannah's friend). I made him apologize to Brooklyn then he had to sit in time out. Usually he cries, throws a fit or other random disruptive 3 year old behavior. But this time he quietly sat in time out. After time out we talked about what happened and why we don't do that. He then wanted to apologize again to Brooklyn. I let him, of course. Then we sat back down and he said, through big alligator tears, "I want to be Savannah's friend". I told him she was more than his friend she was his sister which makes them friends forever. He just looked at me and said "But I want to be her friend now". What was so sweet was that he was not yelling or angry, he was just sad, so so sad and it broke my heart. So we grabbed a blanket, cuddled on the couch and watched Oswald.

Rock on!!
Okay, I promise this is the last post of our fun weekend! (FYI - I realize I added these posts backwards so you'll have to go back two posts to start at the beginning of our weekend) So after the park the girls went shopping and out to dinner and then we traded the boys and they went to a movie. When the boys came home we decided to pull out Rock Band. We had such a blast!! We all agreed that "Eye of the Tiger" was a favorite!
The park
What a beautiful day Saturday was!! We decided to go to the school just down the road and play for a little bit. We packed a lunch, some balls and bats and had a great time. My Dad & Mom came with us to join in the fun!
Michael and Joyell's Wedding
On Friday my cousin Michael got married. My sister and her family (from Seattle) came into town for the wedding and stayed with us. We had SO much fun this weekend! I took lots of pics and have decided to do several blog entries to cover all our fun times! These pics are at the wedding reception on Friday night. I had one dead battery and one with barely any juice left (why do I keep doing that?!) Sadly I do not have one of the bride and groom - they looked great, trust me!

What did you get for Christmas?
Luke is very interested in what his siblings got for Christmas. I think he's enjoying their toys just as much as they are. Here's a few pics of him with their presents over the past few weeks. Sometimes I watch him and ask "What did you get for Christmas?" Obviously he dosen't answer......... he just smiles and giggles!

My Superhero
Matthew from time to time loves to be a superhero. He'll tuck anything down the back of his pants and leave part of it hanging out. I assume that he thinks he's making a cape with the item he's chosen. We're not too sure what superhero he saw who had something hanging out the back of his pants, but that's how he transforms into one. Much like superman tearing his shirt off, I assume. He'll say "Mom, look what superheros do" as he runs around and jumps off my furniture. So today he was pantless and used my nursing shield (See Cheryn, it has other uses!) to transform himself. These are certainly not the first pics of him being a superhero and most likely won't be the last. What a funny boy he is!
